Who are we ?

Welcome to the Home of the Puppets in Tournai, a unique place in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, which is entirely dedicated to the arts of puppetry, between the preservation of heritage and excitement of the contemporary.

Located in the heart of theHotel Peeters, our institution is a crossroads vibrating together of entities strong and complementary : a center for the creation and transmission, a museum, and a company. Together, they participate in the radiation of puppetry in all its forms.

The Centre of the Puppet of the FWB

The Centre of the Puppet is a space of artistic experimentation, interdisciplinary research, diffusion in the context of events and ofguidance for professionals in the performing arts.

• Creation & Residences : throughout the year, we welcome companies belgian and international residence or dissemination to support the emergence of new writings on puppetry.
• Transmission & Training : internships all public training, pointed, the Centre is a place of transmission permanent.
• Resources : Informe, advises. It actively supports the development of the discipline at theregional and international level.

The Art Museum of the Puppet

Through its permanent collections and special exhibitions, the Museum offers a true immersion into the history and diversity of this ancient discipline.

• A world heritage : The traditional figures ofAsia orAfrica to the traditions of the Federation Walloniie-Brussels, our collections tell stories universal.
• A space for all : the Museum has of course fun for families, from educational tours for school students and programming accessible to all .

The Créa-Théâtre

The Créa-Théâtre is a puppet theatre company that is intimately linked to the history of the House. Artistic Force motor, it breathes the spirit of creation that inspires our walls. Its shows scheduled at Tournai, and in a tour, the Créa-Théâtre is continually exploring the boundaries of language marionnettique, combining objects, actors and animated shapes to reach audiences of all ages.
