Evoc is a cooperation project in the field of continuing professional training in the puppetry arts.
The project was organised around three main areas:
- Experimenting with new continuing training schemes for puppeteer artists.
- Developing a shared reflection on the professional structuring of the puppetry arts sector.
- Strengthening the link between training and professional integration. EVOC aims to be a space for reflection on this particular juncture in the lives of puppeteer artists.
The EVOC project, funded under the ERASMUS+ programme and led by LE TAS DE SABLE – CHES PANSES VERTES (France), in partnership with:

Four transnational meetings brought the project partners together:
- 3–4 March 2022: Coordination meeting hosted by TOPIC in Tolosa, Spain
- 12–13 July 2022: Meeting on Pedagogy, hosted by Teatro Gioco Vita in Piacenza, Italy
- 29–30 September 2022: Meeting on professionalisation and professional integration, hosted by the Centre de la Marionnette de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles in Tournai, Belgium
- 8–9 December 2022: Closing/review meeting hosted by Le Tas de Sable – Ches Panses Vertes in Rivery, France
On the puppeteers’ side, following a first workshop held in Thessaloniki from 4 to 10 July 2022, hosted by the Synkoino Cooperative and led by Sylvie Baillon and Stathis Markopoulos, a second workshop took place at the Ljubljana Puppet Theatre from 5 to 11 October 2022, led by Fabrizio Montecchi and Martina Mauric Lazar.
On the working side, the Pedagogy and Professionalisation working groups, enriched by the valuable contributions of the young puppeteers selected to take part in the project, finalised two summary booklets on each of the approaches proposed, now available online on the partners’ websites (in French and in English).
